Eastern Counties Rugby Union

Several clubs have asked the question about when box kicking is introduced into age grade rugby, as this is not specifically mentioned in the progressions. Having spoken to the team in Twickenham the following was given:

"Box kicking can occur when a player reaches XV-a-side rugby at U14. We want the ball in play for as long as possible at the younger Age Grades, as well as continue with the progressive nature of the rules of play throughout their journey to adult rugby."
