Condolences from Eastern Counties to the Pott family and to Norwich RFC
Eastern Counties Rugby Union was dismayed to learn of the passing on 29 April of Norwich Rugby Club stalwart, Andy Pott, after a short illness. We send our condolences to his family and to the club.
Andy was a well-known figure in the rugby community in Norwich and across Eastern Counties. He served as both President and Secretary to the club and was a well-liked and highly respected ambassador for his club and the game as a whole.
The club's announcement of his death makes clear that Andy's contribution was immense: "In recent times he was most widely known in his role as either President or Secretary but in truth, that was just the tip of the iceberg. The list of jobs that he took on was incredible and his devotion to the Club and to the game of rugby, was absolute. There was no easing off from the jobs, even as his health declined in recent years. The Club owes him an immense debt."
On behalf of the whole game in the east of England, we would add our sympathies to the many messages of support and appreciation that are being sent. A great servant who will be sadly missed.
Rest in Peace.
