Four very close games made for great rugby
Sunday’s Finals produced 4 spectacular, competitive and absolutely fantastic close games
Cup – Shelford 17 v Wymondham 19
Shield – Holt 34 v Bury 27
Plate – West Norfolk 31 v Colchester 34
Spoon – L & Y 22 v Shelford B 38
Congratulations to all 4 winners, and commiserations to the losers.
Ross Cowie, Chairman of Youth & Age Grade Rugby comments “before Christmas, we were concerned with the number games cancelled at U17/U18 level; working with the clubs, we changed the format of the cup series, and de-regulated the competition. With 42 out of 44 games played, it would appear that these games achieved everything we set out to achieve.”
Dave Clark, Manager of Wymondham Colts “ A great competition. Shows that despite some fears before Xmas that Colts rugby in the Eastern Counties is alive and kicking.”
Mikail Biard, Manager of Shelford Colts “ Great format that meant more clubs/teams getting to play throughout. Thank you.”
