Eastern Counties County Championship 2018.19

Dear Club, Coach & Player we need your support.

The Eastern Counties County Championship 2018.19 is nearly upon us with the first game between Cambridgeshire and Suffolk on the 7th November 2018 at Bury St Edmunds RUFC.

We are writing to you to ask for your support of the county championship as players, clubs, coaches and supporters. The county games will be the primary pathway through to the newly revived ECRU Wanderers side. Eastern Counties RU Senior Wanderers side have been set up this season is to offer a route to representative rugby that bridges the gap between the current Eastern Counties men’s team and the three county representative sides.

Below are the dates and venues of the county games, a massive thank you to Bury, Wymondham and Ely for agreeing to host the fixtures.

The venues are in place, the coaches and managers in place from Cambridgeshire, Norfolk & Suffolk, the referees booked, the pathway prepared for the players to move through to representative rugby. All we need now is your support, the programme requires the buy in from clubs and players to make this a success.

We understand only too well the pressures of club & league rugby and how important it is not to over play players. With this in mind, all of the fixtures have been selected on Wednesdays prior to a fallow non-league weekend. We really hope you can support your County and Eastern Counties for the sake of the players development and the growth of the community and representative game.
