To be played at University Ground,Cambridge. Anyone with an interest in Rugby in the east is invited to come along to support the Eastern Counties Senior men’s XV play East Midlands RU in the Bill Beaumont Cup.
Eastern Counties make their debut on a 3G pitch when they take on Northumberland at Kingston Park, the home of rugby union Premiership team Newcastle Falcons on Saturday, May 23.
Counties start their Bill Beaumont County Championship fixtures in a three-team group, when East Midlands are the visitors to Grange Road, Cambridge, a week earlier (May 16).
Counties had hoped to get the feel of a 3G pitch by training at Saracens’ Allianz Park prior to the Newcastle game, but were unable to agree a convenient date with the London club.
The initial squad of 36 is dominated by Cambridge, with 20 players included. All 36 will attend training sessions, with a match squad and three reserves being selected for each fixture.

The game is being played at University Ground, Grange Road, Cambridge, CB3 9BN and will kick off at 3pm on Saturday 16th May
