Congratulations to all the players selected, to those of you who have not I know that you will be disappointed and we appreciate the hard work that you have put in up to this stage during training.
Please do not be too disappointed if you have not been selected, the standard of player this year has been very high and subsequently the coaches job in selection is a difficult one.
The EC U16s programme finishes after this weekend’s game, players will be contacted in due course regarding joining the Eastern Counties U17s training programme in March 2017 as a part of the ‘Eastern Counties RU Player Development Pathway Programme’.
The arraignments for Sunday are as follows.
For the game, we need all boys to be at the venue at 11.30am ready to start pre-match warmup, KO is at 13:00, Shorts, socks, playing shirts, and warm up tops will be provided on match day.
For after the match, please bring a white shirt and black trousers – we will be awarding Eastern Counties ties on the day.
The match is at The Leys School Cambridge see link:

Please note that this is an observed match, the game will be monitored by Northampton Saints and Leicester Tigers to help with their selection of players for the academy sides to play at the Wellington Festival and ultimately selection for the England U16 side to face Wales later this season. Accordingly, it is our strong preference that boys do not play the day before should there be any school games. If your school insists on you playing a full game the day before, please let me know as soon as possible.
Kind regards
Chris
