This exciting and sort after volunteer coaching position has just become available.
As the lead coach you will be heading up the ECRU Men’s coaching group, working with the group of coaches to formulate training programs and put in place a structure for the ECRU Men’s squad for the 2025 season’s campaign in the RFU Bill Beaumont league 2 championship.
You will be responsible for overseeing selection and liaising with your team manager. You will be expected to delegate training blocks within training sessions to your specialized support coaches.
You will need good leadership & communication skills to be able to communicate effectively with your Manager, coaches and players. You will also be required to liaise with the coaches and managers of the three county sides of Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
Main Responsibilities:
• Lead, plan, deliver and evaluate training sessions.
• Lead and develop your coaching team.
• Working collaboratively with assistant coaches/ volunteers.
• Observe the Camb’s, Suffolk & Norfolk Tri – County fixtures.
• Communicate effectively with the team manager and specialist support coaches.
• Lead & advise on team selection.
• Adhere to the RFU Code of Conduct.
Criteria:
• Essential: England Rugby Coaching Award Level 2 and above.
• Essential: Previous Coaching experience.
• Essential: Good organisations skills.
• Essential: Good communication skills.
• Desirable: RFU Advanced Coaching Award (or working towards)
• Desirable: An understanding of CB representative competitive elite rugby.
