“hit the ground running” on 1st September.
Now that the rugby season is truly finished, we trust that you are enjoying your summer break.
However, once again there is much going on in the Youth & Age Grade Rugby environment, both nationally and locally.
In particular, you will be aware that the half game innovation becomes regulation next season.
Consequently, Eastern Counties will be holding an Age Grade & Youth Rugby Forum
at Diss Rugby Club on Wednesday 12th June – 7.00 for 7.15
Our aim is to bring all our clubs up to speed, so that we may create the very best environment for the development of our young players.
And so that you can “hit the ground running” on 1st September.
Amongst everything, we will review the Half Game Regulation, and debate some suggestions on best practice.
We will also discuss Age Regulations, Playing Up & Down, Authorisation of Mini Rugby Festivals etc
We will look at best practice around the Codes of Conduct
In Eastern Counties, we will, next season, lead on Under 18 Rugby – and we will introduce our plans
With the reduction in adult numbers, Club / School Links are now the hot topic to introduce more youngsters into the game.
We are also looking for Feedback on our current club programs – what is working well, and where there could be improvement ?
We do hope to see representatives of all clubs with Youth & Age Grade sections at Diss on 12th – please confirm your attendance to me by e-mail to rossrugby@btininternet.com
Best wishes
