Representative coaching opportunities within Eastern Counties RU

Eastern Counties RU are offering coaches from across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire clubs and schools the opportunity to apply for representative coaching positions within the senior representative men’s groups. This follows on from the summer and early season when coaches were able to apply for positions within the youth and women’s coaching groups. We had such a positive response from the ‘ECRU coaching opportunities’ advert that we have been able to offer positions to some of the coaches who applied.
This season we have a new U17s and U18s lead coach, in addition two new coaches have joined the under 17s and 18s groups along with a new team manager. A further two coaches have joined the under 20s men’s representative group along with the launch of an internal coach mentoring programme. The Women’s 1XV group have a new lead coach this season and a new forwards coach joined the programme.
ECRU offer a three-year tenure to all Representative coaches, this allows coaches enough time to bed in, develop their coaching skills and gain valuable experience within a CB Representative rugby environment.
