Sponsorship in Theory and Practice at Colchester RFC 14th June
Like most amateur sporting clubs, Colchester Rugby Club relies on business to help support its activities. The relationship is often thought to be one-way, but Dr Tom Vine from the University of Suffolk argues that businesses benefit just as much too.
Dr Vine will present ‘From Sportsmanship to Businessmanship: The valuable lessons business can learn from sport’ at the club’s Sponsors’ Evening on Wednesday 14th June. His fascinating research shows the close links between sport and business to the benefit of both.
“This a first for both CRFC and the University of Suffolk,” said CRFC Commercial Chairman, Richard Parker, “ and I’m sure both existing and prospective sponsors will find Tom’s talk interesting and thought-provoking. There are lessons here for other clubs too and we we’ll be pleased to share them after the event.”
The event kicks off at 7.30pm and is open to all forward-thinking business owners or decision-makers. To book a place visit the club’s web site at www.colchesterrugby.co.uk. Places are strictly limited.
