Eastern Counties Rugby Union

At the Eastern Counties AGM on 6 June Huw Davies was voted in as President Elect of the CB. Huw will take office for two years from the 2015/16 season succeeding John Taylor with whom he will work closely over the next year.

Huw has been Chairman of the Eastern Counties Discipline committee since 1998 and has earned a reputation for being firm but scrupulously fair in dealing with players that have come before him. He has played rugby since his schooldays in the 1950s and when injury forced him to stop playing in 1975 Huw joined the London Referees Society, and when injury again stopped him from taking to the pitch he became a Referee Assessor at London Society and later at Suffolk & North Essex Society.

Huw is well known to many clubs in Eastern Counties and beyond and we are sure that he will make a positive impact during his tenure as President.
