RFU Finalists from Eastern Counties
You will know that the Mitsubishi Volunteer Recognition Programme has seen a new format focusing on the headings of Resilience in Rugby, Beyond Rugby and Diversity and Inclusion. Steph Allmark, the RFU's Volunteer Manager tells us "that the calibre of nominations was extremely high this year and it's been inspiring to read about the amazing work that volunteers have done over the past 12 months to not only engage club members but support the local community and continue to grow the game."
The RFU's Panel of Judges appointed to assess the nominations have identified Charlie Wootton (right)from Wymondham RFC and Harriet Walachowski (left)from Ipswich RFC as the finalists from the Eastern Counties.
Our President, John Winders, is delighted with these decisions.
He says "after such a long period with little activity on the pitch it is most important to have volunteers to help clubs get up to speed during this rebooting period. Here we have two volunteers doing just that. We offer our congratulations to both Charlie and Harriet. We wish them well in the finals."
