National Lockdown from Wednesday 6 January - A message from Eastern Counties

While we await any specific guidance from the RFU, it seems clear that the Prime Minister’s announcement yesterday of a new national lockdown means that there can be no rugby activity for the time being. With schools to be closed and everybody asked to stay at home unless essential, the exemption that previously existed for under 18 sport will presumably no longer be in place. We will circulate specific guidance when we receive it whether from Government or the RFU but in the meantime we ask all rugby clubs to clearly abide by the restrictions that have been laid out.
