Eastern Counties Rugby Union

Eastern Counties Rugby Union are delighted to announce that Steve Mackee has been appointed ECRU Honorary Treasurer and will take up his post immediately.

Based in Kings Lynn, Steve is an experienced finance professional having been Director of Finance at a number of large companies before his retirement. He is also a stalwart member of West Norfolk RFC where he is a past President and Youth Organiser and was club treasurer for a number of seasons.

Steve takes over from Pamela Clarke who has stood down after seven years in the role. Alasdair Bovaird, EC Chair said: "Pamela will be a hard act to follow, but having emerged from a rigorous appointment process, I am confident that Steve is the man to do it."

Steve said: "I am looking forward to getting my teeth into this important role. With reducing support from the RFU it is more and more important that we are sure Eastern Counties' funds are being used effectively for the benefit of the rugby community and I look forward to supporting the Committee and volunteers in doing that".
