Eastern Counties Rugby Union

this is an opportunity for anyone to seek a place on the Management Committee, which makes the big decisions concerning rugby in this area.

The posts that make up the committee are listed below. Any club member can apply to take one of these – if there is more than one candidate there will be a vote (secret ballot) at the AGM.

So far a candidates have come forward for each of the posts – except Hon Secretary. In addition there are two candidates for the post of chairman. However that does not stop anyone else seeking any of these positions.

The job of Hon Secretary is an important one – anyone interested in it ought to contact the outgoing secretary, Roger Pierson, on 01508 493085 or 07974 619114 to get a better idea of what’s involved.

If you’re interested in one of these jobs, you will need to be nominated by two “members.” Members are:-

1. the clubs and
2. those who sit on the Management committee at present – there’s a list on our website.

To help there’s a nomination form attached; fill this in – get it signed and sent it to Dick Watson at Kelvedon House, Stowupland, STOWMARKET IP14 4AF by Wednesday 31 May

The AGM will be held at Newmarket on Friday 16 June.
