We have suffered the worst drought for many years, and, despite some recent rain, most pitches are rock hard, and may not be suitable for contact rugby.
We are conscious that most clubs will start their Youth & Mini programs, and hold their Registration day on 4th September, and some are already undertaking pre-season coaching.
There is no reason why you should postpone this, but you should be mindful that you may need to restrict activity to touch / tag rugby, passing & evasion skills etc.

Unless you have access to an all-weather surface, or (very) well-watered pitches, you would be advised to consider whether full contact, rucking or tackling is appropriate.
Clubs are reminded of their responsibilities to ensure safety at all age grade rugby.
If unsure, please do not take a risk.
