Volunteers needed for Management Committee roles
Eastern Counties Rugby Union looks after the interests of rugby union in the East of England – covering the counties of Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and parts of north Essex.
Chair of Club Development
We are looking for a new Chair of our Club Development Committee to succeed John Winders who has taken on the role of President of Eastern Counties. The postholder will be expected to lead the work of ECRU in supporting clubs with all ‘off-field’ aspects of their development: volunteer recruitment, club management, funding and facilities. They will lead a group of volunteers from around the area to support clubs – a particularly vital role in the current circumstances as clubs wrestle with the implications of the post-Coronavirus restart. Co-opted Committee Members
We also need new blood on our committee to give us a wider set of perspectives on our work – and to challenge some of our established ways of thinking. So the Management Committee is looking to co-opt additional members who can offer:
We are looking to co-opt no more than two individuals – so ideally you will be able to offer experience in more than one of the areas identified.
