Eastern Counties Rugby Union

Some time ago the RFU set up six ‘Activation & Legacy’ Groups covering the country tasked with adding value to the Rugby World Cup by raising funds to be used by the game at grass roots to provide a lasting legacy from the tournament. Area 4, of which Eastern Counties is a part, has done particularly well under the chairmanship of former England captain Peter Wheeler and they are now in a position to accept applications for funding.

Applications for sums between £1,000 and £10,000 can be made although larger sums may be considered. Priority areas are:

• Investing in People
• Returning players
• All Schools
• Touch Rugby
