Eastern Counties Rugby Union

Easter is a time of year when students return home from college.
Many, many clubs run very successful youth sections, but lose players once they go to university.
Following on from some very successful events during Christmas, and following last year’s fantastic festival, Southwold Rugby Club in conjunction with Eastern Counties, will once again host a University Returners / U21 Festival on Easter Sunday, 1st April 2018, commencing at 11.30 am.
Last year’s festival was a fantastic day for the players from the 4 clubs who took part – and we are looking to increase this number to at least 6 this year.
This would give clubs the opportunity to remain in contact with their players who are at university, and reap the harvest of earlier years, with players returning to their home club post university.
As an added attraction, Southwold RFC have offered to organise a beer festival and BBQ to complement the festival !! – where a better place to spend Easter ?
Eastern Counties will make a contribution to the travelling costs of clubs taking part, and are funding the cost of referee and medical support.
