Eastern Counties Chair of Competitions, John Mackay, has written to all clubs to confirm that we are unable to make plans or issue draft fixture lists until the likely schedule for club rugby in 2020-21 is much clearer.

"It might seem that we are writing to clubs simply to state the obvious", says John, "but we thought it was important that, since this is the time when we would normally be drafting fixtures for the season, we made the position clear to everybody. We are as anxious as anyone to be able to get back to normal, but we fear that we may have to wait some time for that to happen."

Clubs are also reminded that we are seeking new league secretaries for both the EC Womens Merit Table - which was successfully established in 2019-20 - and for Eastern Counties' West leagues - with Calvin Joce, the incumbent, having indicated he wished to stand down.
